
Kurt's Camera Repair, Inc. began operation in San Diego, California in 1975. Kurt's
Camera Repair quickly established itself as a highly reliable camera repair shop that
provides unquestionable quality repair and exceptional customer service for the photo
community. Shortly after opening, the manufacturers; Nikon, Canon and Minolta became
convinced of Kurt's professionalism, quality of service and reliability to the degree
that all three manufacturers established Kurt's Camera Repair as their authorized
service center for the southern California area.
Subsequently Kurt's Camera Repair contracted with the Kodak Company
to become an authorized service center for their audiovisual products. Olympus and
3M followed in making Kurt's an authorized service center for their products. From
the beginning, the technicians at Kurt's Camera Repair have been trained at these
and several other factories to assure nothing but the highest quality and expert
repair service for your equipment.
Kurt's Camera Repair maintains established accounts for ongoing repair
service with many companies and organizations such as city and county Police and Fire
Departments, school districts, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Army plus numerous
camera dealers.
We are very active in supporting the local community. We are a Gold
level sponsor of the North County Photographic Society, the Sierra Photo Club and
Fallbrook Photo club. We also are a Neighborhood Sponsor for the Mission Trails
Regional Park and actively help to support its annual nature photo contest. We
sponsor numerous schools and colleges as well.
Kurt's Camera Repair is a sustaining member of Society of photo
technologists (SPT) , a member of Photo Marketing Association (PMA) and the National
Association of Photo Equipment Technologists (NAPET). Kurt's Camera Repair is also
a member in good standing with the San Diego Better Business Bureau.

Mike, who owns Kurt's, is a retired Navy Photographer, with
more than 30 years of training and experience working with both still and motion picture
photography. Mike's career in camera repair began at the Navy School of Photography,
and continued after leaving the Navy with extensive factory repair training on various
cameras and lenses from industry leaders such as Nikon, Olympus, Minolta, Pentax, and
Bronica. Mike is an expert on all medium format cameras and the newer digital cameras as
well. Mike began working as a technician for Kurt's in 1996 after retiring from the
Navy and became the owner in 1999. |

Mario is a second generation repair technician; learning from
his father beginning at the age of 17. He has more than 30 years of repair experience and
has been with Kurt's since 2006. He has received training at the Nikon, Minolta and Canon
Factory Service Centers and is considered an expert on the Canon, Nikon, Minolta and Pentax
film Cameras. He has become an expert on digital SLR cameras as well. Mario takes care of
all our customers' film projector repair needs as well. |

Jim has more than 20 years of camera repair experience and is
factory trained at both Minolta and Nikon factory service centers. Jim is expert with video
cameras and digital SLR cameras. Jim initially joined the staff of Kurt's in 2004. |

Kim also joined Kurt's in 2004, fulfilling an ever-growing
segment of clients requiring the repair of compact digital cameras. Kim brings with him
over 20 years experience in repair and is considered a true natural at the repair bench. |

Roy began making money repairing cameras at the age of 17. Soon
After high school Graduation, He began working at El Cajon camera repairing cameras in the
small one man shop that was located in back of the store. Roy owned and operated his own
repair shop, Metro Camera Repair, in the 1990's. Roy received training through National
Camera and has over 30 years experience. Roy has been with Kurt's since 2007. |

Ira has been repairing cameras first on the west coast and then
on the east coast since the early 1980's. Now he is back in San Diego adding his expertise
for film and digital point and shoots to the shop's already outstanding group of technicians.
Also, Ira's years of experience with film SLRs has allowed him to easily move into repairing
Digital SLRs. Ira joined Kurt's in 2008. |

Mark is truly our multitask specialist as quality control, shipping
and receiving and customer service manager. Mark's background of more than 30 years experience
as a photographer working for newspapers and as a freelance photographer is an invaluable asset
to Kurt's. Mark has been with Kurts since 1995. |

David manages the parts department. He is tasked with researching and
ordering parts and keeping commonly used parts in stock. David also does a great job helping out
with Customer service. David started with Kurt's in 2008. |

Vanessa manages the financial accounting. She also pitches in helping
Mark and David with customer service. Vanessa joined Kurt's in 2009 and brought with her over 15
years of accounting and customer service experience. |

Hannah is Mike's daughter and works part time at the shop helping with
customer service and record keeping. She is currently attending SDSU as a freshman and is a crew
member on the school's female rowing team. |
